Meet our Pastor
Rev. Colin Samul serves as pastor of Coldenham–Newburgh Reformed Presbyterian Church, where he was installed in August 2026.
Born and raised in the Metro Detroit area of Michigan, Colin came to faith in Christ in 2005 and soon sensed a call to pastoral ministry. He graduated from Kuyper College in 2009 and earned his Master of Divinity from City Seminary of Sacramento in 2016. He was licensed to preach in the Reformed Church in the United States, where he provided pulpit supply before joining the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America in 2018. He subsequently served as a church planter in Reno, Nevada, before accepting the call to Coldenham–Newburgh.
In addition to his pastoral ministry, Colin teaches apologetics and church history at City Seminary of Sacramento. He enjoys reading theology, philosophy, and cultural commentary, as well as weightlifting and spending time with his family.
Colin and his wife, Shanna, have four children: Mele, Evangeline, Leland, and Lilyana.
